Jägermeister is a German herbal liqueur with a bitter spicy taste. It is made in Wolfenbüttel in Lower Saxony from 56 different herbs, roots, woods and bark, such as cinnamon, ginger root, saffron and more. Production takes place in neutral alcohol for six weeks and then the liqueur matures for at least 1 year in oak barrels.
